six-day course about
community building in companies

September 24th-26th and October 29th-31st 2018

soul driven leadership

Your organisation could do so much more

But do you sometimes feel frustration when you experience:

  • co-workers to be disengaged, cynical at times, and resistant to change;
  • teams and departments working in silos;
  • a hierarchy of ‘command and control’ that dictates the organisation;
  • talented people leaving and making it challenging to attract new ones;
  • that while clients are satisfied, they are not really enthusiastic about the organisation?

Can you imagine your company as a community where:

  • people are intrinsically motivated and take initiative to make a difference;
  • knowledge is being shared freely and created through spontaneous collaboration;
  • trust forms the basis of how people work and live;
  • talented people aspire to work;
  • clients do not see the organisation merely as a supplier, but wish to make the organisation better?

a place where people
are drawn together
around a common purpose,
is what we call a community.

“We have tried so many different things, but why does it not seem to work?”

This is what we at soul.com hear many times when we speak to people in organisations around the world. Different methods such as an agile way of working, different leadership programs, or restructuring the organisation have been tried. They all improve the organisations a bit, yet rarely lead to fundamental changes and long-term results. Why?

Because the solution methods are often instrumental ones, while the root of the problem is a human issue: lack of trust.

How to build trust?

After more than 20 years of experience in community building of organisations, we have developed a comprehensive leadership training that enables you to build an environment of trust and learning in your organisation.

It all starts with the first step: developing a new mindset that helps them see themselves and their organisation with new eyes. A mindset that seeks new possibilities and nurtures a desire to contribute. Soul Driven Leadership 1 helps build the capacities needed to create such a new mindset.

you cannot solve problems
with the same level
of consciousness that created them.

What you will learn during this course

Better listening

You’ll learn to listen deeply to what others say, so that you have a better understanding on how to support others effectively

Meaningful conversations

You’ll learn how to engage in meaningful conversations, so that people become participants of a process of change instead of spectators

Culture of collaboration

You’ll learn how to promote a culture of collaboration and mutual trust within your organisation

A shared understanding

You’ll learn to create a shared understanding amongst groups of people, instead of imposing your own views to others

Systematic learning

You’ll be better able to learn systematically, so that you can transform your organisation into a leaning organisation

“I have seen people change radically for the better! Leadership shifted from ‘active leading’ towards ‘facilitating’ a group of people in improving their capacities. People learned to listen more instead of just talking. People shifted from compliance towards commitment. The list is full of examples of transformation – each in their own way.

The most important result we have seen is that people from all layers of the organisation become participants of a process of change instead of spectators. The change now comes from within the people, within the organisation.“

All change starts with personal initiative,

without this, nothing happens.

Is this course for you?

Although people in leadership and management positions would have tremendous benefits from attending Soul Driven Leadership I, you do not need to be high in the “organisational hierarchy” to make a significant difference. Everybody who aspires to affect the course of their organisation for the better can become a community builder. It is advisable to participate with at least one more colleague to benefit most from the course.

Practical information

  • Soul Driven Leadership I consists of two tracks, each of three days: from 14 to 16 May and 27 to 29 June 2018.
